Professor Daniel Cook holds a Personal Chair in English and Scottish Literature and is the Associate Dean of Education and Student Experience in the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Law at the University of Dundee. Daniel’s teaching and research interests include 18th- and 19th-century literature, Gothic studies, the history of reading, authorship and adaptation. Authors of specific interest include Jonathan Swift, Daniel Defoe, Jane Austen, Walter Scott, Lord Byron, and Mary Shelley.
